  • Meeting Office Tables

Meeting rooms are important congregation areas for coordinating staff and other important matters. We have a selection of corresponding meeting tables available to suit, in a diverse selection of shapes and sizes. This includes round meeting tables in Appletree/Black that can comfortably fit 4 people, to the classic shaped rectangular meeting tables that can cater for large teams of up to 20; with customisable options in top finishes and table bases to match your brand.

When choosing the right table for frequent meetings, it is important to consider how many people are expected to sit there at any given time. If only a few employees are likely to meet, for example, a small meeting table will do. In more formal settings, rectangular tables are preferable, if there is a distinctive hierarchy (the CEO or manager will sit at the head) for a more corporate tone.

From what material the table is made of is also something to consider, selecting a wooden table with dark colouring to match your office colour contrast is always a tough decision; this is why our range stocks metal, melamine and fabric tables for meetings to give you design flexibility. We can help you to determine which shape and size will best meet the needs of your organisation.

How do I choose a meeting room table size and shape?

There are a number of considerations for choosing the ideal shape and size of your office conference table. These include:

    Square/
    rectangular

Modern conference tables that are square or rectangular in shape tend to offer more seating space, as there are defined edges to place chairs. They also allow people to be seated according to hierarchy, with the CEO or leading manager at the head and the rest of the employees down the sides.

    Oval/
    round

Oval or round conference tables tend to offer less seating space. They are, however, great for encouraging discussion and making attendees feel as if they’re on equal footing. These shapes tend to work best when only small groups of people are likely to meet at once.

    Ideal seating
    capacity

It’s essential that you avoid overcrowding your meeting room desk, as this can make everyone in attendance feel uncomfortable. For this example, both tables have a width of 1200mm. If the length is 2100mm, you can expect to seat 6 to 8 people. If the length is 3600mm, you can expect to seat 12 to 14 people. We normally allow 750mm per person as a guide for space. Some common sizes are below for your reference.
